Der Lehrstuhl für Landschaftsarchitektur und öffentlichen Raum der Fakultät für Architektur der TU München veranstaltet das internationale Symposium „Infrastruktururbanismus“.
Thema der Veranstaltung ist die Zukunft von Hochleistungsinfrastrukturen, wie z.B. Autobahnen und Bahnhochleistungsstrecken im Kontext der weltweiten Urbanisierung und den damit verbundenen Defiziten aber auch Potentialen dieser Infrastrukturen im Stadtraum. Dem öffentlichen Raum als „Gewebe der Stadt“ kommt dabei die Rolle zu, die Ansprüche der Mobilität mit den Ansprüchen an das urbane Leben vor Ort zu verbinden.
Im Juli letzten Jahres lud die Fakultät mit einem „Call for Papers“ dazu ein Beiträge für die Teilnahme am Symposium einzureichen. Das „Call for Papers“ hat international
breites Gehör gefunden und es wurden über 70 Beiträge für die Teilnahme am Symposium eingereicht. So das ein umfangreiches und interessantes Programm mit 21 Vortragenden zusammengestellt wurde.
Das Symposium findet am 04. und 05. Februar 2010 im Hauptgebäude der TU München im Hörsaal 0220 statt und die Teilnahme wird ohne Konferenzgebühr möglich sein.
